The medical laser treatment technology is not too old. It has recently arrived in the field since past several decades. But still lots of researches are being accomplished to acquaint more and more about the capability of these lasers. Lasers have been used these days from critical to some of the easiest tasks like tattoo removal. When this laser based treatment first arrived in the field, nobody readily accepted it. There were several controversies regarding the use of focused light on the critical body parts. Hence a great amount of examination and tests were performed on this technology to actually embrace it as the treatment method. Then later on several brave researchers and doctors have exhibited this treatment technology via various experiments utilizing volunteers.
Literally, today there are thousands of ways in which medical lasers can be utilized for the treatment. Some of the most common fields include cosmetic surgery (like for removing tattoos, hairs, birthmarks, wrinkles, sunspots, stretch marks and scars), eye surgery, soft tissue surgery, laser scalpel, laser therapy (photobiomodulation), tumor operations (of brain and spinal cord), teeth whitening and other oral operations, etc.
However, so many applications of medical lasers are known to the people, but still this technology is under lots of controversies. Many backward people still prefer normal ways of surgical treatments over this one. As it is not getting much popularity that is why the cost associated with the treatment is comparatively higher.
